# Expert Advice:

01 -
  • Everything happens in one pan so you spend more time eating and less time scrubbing dishes
  • The cheese creates this incredible golden crust that makes people fight over the corner pieces
  • It tastes like it simmered all day but actually comes together in under an hour
02 -
  • Do not skip the step of browning the sausage first, those crispy bits add depth you cannot get any other way
  • Cut your potatoes into evenly sized cubes so they all finish cooking at the same time
  • Let the skillet rest for 5 minutes after baking, this makes serving so much easier
03 -
  • If your sausage is especially lean, add an extra tablespoon of olive oil before sautéing the vegetables
  • Grate your own cheese from a block instead of buying pre shredded, it melts so much better
