One Bowl Banana Bread Chocolate (Printable)

Moist banana bread with chocolate chips, made in one bowl.

# What You'll Need:

→ Wet Ingredients

01 - 3 ripe bananas, mashed (about 1 1/4 cups)
02 - 2 large eggs
03 - 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
04 - 3/4 cup light brown sugar, packed
05 - 1 tsp pure vanilla extract

→ Dry Ingredients

06 - 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
07 - 1 tsp baking soda
08 - 1/2 tsp salt

→ Add-ins

09 - 3/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
10 - 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)

# How-To Steps:

01 - Preheat your oven to 350°F. Grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan with butter or cooking spray, or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.
02 - In a large mixing bowl, peel and mash the ripe bananas until smooth. Pour in the melted butter and stir until well incorporated.
03 - Add the eggs, brown sugar, and vanilla extract to the banana mixture. Whisk thoroughly until the mixture is uniform and slightly frothy.
04 - Sprinkle the flour, baking soda, and salt evenly over the wet mixture. Using a spatula, gently fold the dry ingredients into the wet just until no flour streaks remain. Be careful not to overmix.
05 - Fold in the semi-sweet chocolate chips and chopped nuts (if using) until evenly distributed throughout the batter.
06 - Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan. Smooth the top with a spatula and optionally sprinkle a few extra chips on top. Bake for 50 to 55 minutes.
07 - Insert a toothpick into the center of the loaf. It is done when the toothpick comes out mostly clean with a few moist crumbs attached.
08 - Allow the bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes. Remove from the pan and transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
